New Years Eve Sardine & Maple Leaf Drop
December 30-January 1. The Tides Institute is planning new ways to celebrate the New Year’s arrival in Canada and the US, including the traditional drops by the Great Sardine & Maple Leaf, online programming for those near and far, and take-home party and craft kits with free downloadable components.

Winter Harbor Music Festival
A festival that brings together musicians of different ages and stages, with world class artists. Enjoy piano and flute recitals, orchestral performance, Schubert's Schwanengesang amidst the beauty of Downeast Coastal Maine. All performances held at Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor. Monthly events from February 3rd through May 5th.

Acadia Winter Festival
Explore Acadia in winter during the 9th annual Acadia Winter Festival at the Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park in Winter Harbor. Festival activities feature outdoor and virtual events and activities for adults, children, families and friends. February 2023.

Ice Fishing Derbies
Inland DownEast Acadia offers some world class ice-fishing opportunities for many different species. Hone your skills during the Maine Free Fishing Weekend February 18-19, and join the competition during the Statewide Ice Fishing Derby in March.
